many thanks, Tom

cheers got it now anyway, no.1 2 and 3 where fine but changed them anyway, but the crank on no.4 was slightly bured, so had to lightly smooth the burs over with abit of 1200 paper, then it wasnt quite pinching tight enough ( when you tried to push up and down on it could hear the oil sweezing in the gap, so ive now got the shell and journal ground down by 2000th of a inch, hopefully it should be okay but its a long shot

I hope you mean that you got the crank ground in machine shop, or you'll be in for the same damage within very very short time

no didnt get the crank reground, it wasnt too bad but very lightly rubbed 1200 paper with oil over it, i filled the jurnal down at home with a micrometer and then magnet gauge checking each time the measument of slack in it but with every thing streched slightly it made it very hard, il be surpirsed if it lasts 10 miles to be honest, need to look for a new block

it may last 10 miles but i wouldnt say much more! this happened to me on a prima engine in my series. Thought it'll be alright, was in a rush so just chucked some shells in. got to work the next day and it was knocking again! Game over!
