50 litre compressors aint really very big at all. it depends on what you re using it for. they are ok for general dicking around with an air ratchet, or spraying a panel. compressed air is forced out at one hell of a rate of knots so it soon empites 50l. what you have to remember is that under load the motor needs to be running to replenish the used air and that dunt kick in until its a third empty, that means a 50l will be running at around 30l, which most air tools will eat up in seconds. the only problem with big compressors is the fookin price.

nice one, Pikey - think i need to think about this. Take a rain check for a day or so. Thanks fur yo help guys. My compressor manuf does an upgrade option - so i mite see wot they say furst.

the upgrde will be a 2hp motor, you are still stuck with a 50l tank and a motor not designed for running at 100%

not only are big compressors expensive but they also take up a lot of room and you can wheel em about like a 50l. to be honest, you need to evaluate whether or not its worth spending the money on.

yer can get a attachment which will fit yer kracher pressure washer what does blasting fer around 50 sheets, int as good as a dry one but much cheaper and smaller. or you could take whatever needs doing to someone what does it
