Been fighting with the ABS trying to sort it all out.

Changed the Shuttle Switch in the modulator, via the air intake hole and wheel arch. Right PITA!

Certainly seen better days, but didnt solve it.

Changed the king pin + new copper cage.

Appears to have solved it! We shall see.

Also finally bought a winch!

Rhino 13,500lbs, should do the job well enough and very cheap for what you get.

Nice winch, been looking at the same one. It's a heavy lump hanging over the front. How firm is your suspension? Have you though about it sagging? Only asking as I'm in the same boat

Took all day but winch is in!

Had to move the spots around a bit to get it to fit.

Very tight fit!

Even had to cut the freespool knob down so I could actually turn it.

Relocated the control box into the engine bay. Fabricated a bracket it secure it.

Isolator flush mounted in the seat box

Really pleased! Bit of a pig to run all the cable but got there in the end!

Now to get stuck :D

Very nice, remember to apply a little TLC to it, if you have left it a while after playing in deep mud and water. Otherwise you may find it is jammed up when you go to use it.

Cheers

Loving your work as always

Been working on this for a while. Finally had some time to put it together and see how it looks!

Surround was lasercut from A2 Stainless, from a drawing I had the designers at work do for me :p

The mesh isnt what I originally wanted but what I did want doesnt exist and was too expensive to laser cut. Audi style honeycomb.

Mesh cut to size and welded in place.

Perfect fit!

Still got to strip the surround off and weld in the actual fixing points. Tops will be similar to standard, sides/bottom will be M8 studding welded in place.

Will be finished in CIO so matt black to make the rest of the trim.

All for a fraction of the cost of a Zunsport.

Could you have 3D printed the Audi style honeycomb? You may have had to print it in 3 pieces due to it's size.

No chance. Would never be strong enough for a Defender, maybe a road going one but not mine.

That and i havnt got a printer lol

Should be able finish it Sunday.

Few tabs to weld on the top and a few studs on the bottom. Then ready for paint.
