So inlight of my split charging issues as of late im making a couple changes.

A manual 200 amp switch.
- With this I can "force" the aux battery to charge incase of relay failure or other issues. Cheap and non intrusive.

Panel mount charging points for the aux battery
- Means when the landy is off the road for a few days or parked up where mains power is available I can charge the aux battery and jump start myself if needed.

Aux batt voltmeter
- on a switched live but just to monitor the aux battery. Now to neatly cut the dash

Nice day fitting the new Koni HT Raids and OME springs! Pretty hassle free, couple seized bolts on the spring retainers but no issue really.

One thing that did concern me (which also wasnt brought to my attention by GP when they changed the rear shock bushes ) is that the axle shock pin mount has worn into an oval

Now the Terrafirma crap is off the ride is so much smoother and back to a proper +2" which is nice! No more tyres rubbing.

Got the front shocks at 1.5 and rears at 3. Gives a nice soft ride but firm enough to counteract any body roll. Pretty happy so far but can always adjust later if need be.

Lucky I did this today. Didnt have much left on the rear pads

Had a little test of the new set up today. Theres a "tarmac" road near by (private road that the residents refuse to pay for so its trashed). Ive driven green lanes in better condition....

The new set up is leaps and bounds over the TF stuff. Soaked up every single bump perfectly. Checked the speedo and was doing almost 30  couldnt do more than 15 before my neck would break from being thrown around!

Took a day off today to fit the new arches.

Painted them, came up rather well!

Go to fit and they dont fit!!! Slightly different to my old ones so none of the damn holes line up and even fitted with new look awful.

Now to buy another set :(

Not much been going on recently but a few things in the pipeline.

Looks like the top hose is starting to fade a little as is the coolant block.

So new GORE unit + Allisport top hose, blue of course :p

While doing that Im going to swap the LR coolant gauge for a Stack one which will give an accurate engine temp. Not cold, fine and BOLLOCKS :p:D

Thankfully the GORE unit will allow that without removing or touching the LR plug or ugly split top hoses!
