Just a quick post to say hi. Ive come back to my roots since being away playing with other cars.

However; how hard is it to pick up a half decent 110 they are like gold dust. I think i may have been away too long are the values a bit on the high side. Does anyone have a rough guide to what you should pay or point me in the direction of guide.

thanks

Wellllll.

Around 6K and thatll be me cleared out. And i need some left over just incase it needs some work doing. I have seen an H reg 110 county a bit rough but still quite sound with 70k on the clock and the guy wants 6500. I think he's smokin'. Am i expecting too much for my hard slaved pennies.

I've just bought a hardtop 110 after quite a long time looking. Seen anything from 1500 quid up to 7 or 8 grand for early n/a diesels up to 300tdi. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to the prices I think you've just got to go looking and if you find one that suits you and it's within budget there ya go. I paid 2900 for my 1990 hardtop which has had a recent engine rebuild, decent winch, bfg's and is in tidy condition cosmetically. 6500 seems a lot for one of that age but if it's a good one????

Hmmm,
This ones got a full service history, never been off roaded, 300tdi engine seems to early for one of those unless its a replacement, all the seats are present, the chassis is all good and drives ok. Headlinings all good, gearbox is a bit gratey but get the revs right very sweet, im going to hang on and see if he drops the price a bit.

ho-hum, but i want one now!!!!!!!!!!

i know how u feel took me ages to find the one i wanted i was on ebay & auto trader every night , in the end i got one from a friend of a friend , a very tidy L reg 90 for 4300 , but as hughesy says find one that suits you & its in budget away you go

If that's a 1990/91 H plate then you're right, it's too early for a factory 300Tdi - might be a 200Tdi in disguise, check the position of reverse on the gearbox, if the gearstick is up by first when you put it in reverse, then its the earlier box and most likely a 200Tdi, if it's where you'd expect 6th gear to be (i.e. underneath 5th) it's the later gearbox and more likely to be a 300Tdi. That's not to say you can't fit a 300Tdi to the earlier gearbox, but then again why would you?
