hi all, i wonder if anyone knows the temp of the oil in the autobox should be to bring the light on , the light on mine comes on after a short trip of 6 miles and one reasonable hill ,
i have access to a lazer thermometer but i cannot find any info for normal opperating temp, i suspect the problem will be the sensor but would be interested to know the temp range:)

normal temp measured on sump id expect 70-90 degrees when upto temp will go higher if doing hard work ,swithches are prone to fail, box will run hotter if t/c not locked

thanks James, yes i would not be surprised to see temps up to 120 deg c, but without a datum point its difficult to tell

many thanks for this , it is very interesting and a considerable temp difference.. i think i will need to do a survey but i think i will start by changing the sender
