Around Doncaster and Maltby ish ...

Had a great few hours today.

Stonkingly hot, very dusty, but still found a couple of small water holes and plenty shade to stop and drink at! No extreme routes, a couple that looked like they'd not been driven since last time I was down (about 2 years) and very little traffic about.

Took me time, plodded along. Moved a couple of boulders that were blocking one lane and helped a youth roll his quad back onto four wheels! (Sorry didn't take a pic!) He had loads of gear on it, taking snap to a couple of tractor drivers in the fields.

Just a lovely days steady plodding.

Apologies for the crap pics, camera phone (cheap Blackberry) through the windscreen mostly so a lot of reflections from the gps etc ...

Next time you are out and about paul you will have to give me a shout and if i around will tag along.

Yeah, no worries mate. Today was a spur of the moment thing ... bored witless, just buggered off and decided to go laning when I saw one ..

When you doing a night laning paul? ill soon have me new wheels on so will be itching to try em out!! (but i suppose in the dark i wont be able to see em!!! :lol: )

Ooh yeah, forgot about that ... mid to end August OK?

I'm off on holiday in a couple of weeks, Lakes, doing Gatesgarth Pass and other stuff, so can't afford a full nights out till after the hols, but will work something out shortly.

Last time I went it was ace, really weird and way different to daylight, but so funny ..

Sounds good to me! Sould have a few more mods under me belt by then too! A few of us did chaplegate in the dusk (when it was briefly open for those few weeks) and that was tops had to realy take your time and chose your path a little more, brilliant!

Was the lane you needed to move the boulders out the way the one coming out of mickle bring ?? Had a chat last time I was on that lane with the guy in the bungalow on the corner !!

Sure was! Nice lane, straight with a 90 corner past the bungalow ..

One time I was there we had to get past a Peugeot that had obviously been nicked and driven to destruction! I can understand them not wanting people to drive it, but it's lovely and legal, so I drive it. If the local tossers stayed away with their burning cars out etc it'd probably be fine, I guess!
