ARB locker problem / been ripped off

no its only covered if you sent it to the paid address and therefore can prove postage, other wise its bollocks

its one reason I used to ask for cash on collection no paypal or paypal and postage but once they tried to rip me off that was it I beat them at their own game and will never use the bastards again

Yep it's in the small print

Like has been said, never, ever let someone collect something paid for by Paypal. They can just tell Paypal they haven't received it, you don't have a signature at their address, and bingo, they get a refund as well as whatever you were selling.

To be even-minded I quite like Paypal.

Makes it easy to buy 'stuff', and not just on ebay ..

Many on-line 'proper' shops take Paypal which makes it far less time-consuming than using that 'Verified by Visa' abortion of a system that never remembers a password then lets you just set a new one, direct from the transaction!

Use it right and it's an easy, safe system. I've had a couple of screw-ups, but they've both been sorted amicably and reasonably (read in my favour!) so can't complain about it at all. The interface between ebay and Paypal has screwed up a few times too though, old email addresses getting coughed up and freezing the account 'cos you couldn't remember the ancient, corresponding password!
