+1 on above. Tell him to spend £6K and keep the other £4K to fix the gearbox etc.
that warranty aint worth nothing land rover can make em but havnt got a clue how to fix em my cousins 59 plate sport has been in for repair more times than hes drove it just kept swapping bits & bobs to eliminate things as they had no idea what was up with it.but afterall I suppose it wasn't that bad when it would regulary cut out at 70mph in the outside lane on the motorway
