Anyone cv23 area can help?

I've got a 1995 Defender 90
I've removed a bolt that holds the body to the chassis (a 7" mounting bolt) in order to fit a rockslider. It had been put on the wrong way round so had to be totally removed. Trouble is 1 - The bolt I removed is knackered anyway and I need to replace it. Tried local hardware store but no good and no Landy garages open today and 2 - the holes are not aligned properly and I don't know how to align them!
Is anyone local to me that could help?

Is this urgent? Which bolt is it you're talking about, size/diameter etc?

Are yu at home, or stuck on a hillside?

Without being a poo-bah, I don't really think this is a job for LZIR.

Not urgent in that I'm at home, but obviously can't use Landy as it is.
It's a 7" just over 1/4" diam. I think Demon Tweeks may have one so may be able to get hold of one.
If there was a local that could help that would be great - but no problems if not

Fair point -but you can bet your bottom dollar that if I'd posted it anywhere else someone would say "post it on LZIR"

Fit the old one temporarily. Easier to swap over that way.

Ah yes that would make sense, a prybar or large screwdriver might be some help to pull into line as well.

Bit of a long shot someone local having one kicking around but you never know

Stating the obvious - yu won't get a new one in either. If yu can get the old one in, yu can tap the new one in, pushing the old one out.

Yes, tried that but no good. Think I will just have to wait till Monday and get a mechanic to come out. At least I tried 😞

CV23 is a bit far for me for a non-urgent... Annoying though as I was just with a very helpful local Landy owner discussing a diff pan repair I'm needing...
