Hello, I am South Korean! I am driving a 2014 L494.
I ordered some to DIY some ambient lighting and mounted one on my dashboard.
The door panel was removed to install the ambient on the door. But I had no idea which wire to connect to.
All the wires on the door were black, and I couldn't find the plus and minus wires to install the ambient module, so I reinstalled the door panel.
I tried to install a foot light, but I couldn't move it from the passenger seat to the driver's seat.
Anyone is good Does anyone know the wiring for the door? And does anyone know how to move the footlight over to the driver's seat?
I hope the translation went well and I look forward to your help.

I would have to say, Why?
I understand its maybe what's in at the moment, but all that light inside a car at night would drive me potty. But I suppose driving down roads with enough lights to essentially make it daylight don't make much diff.

But at the end of the day you have live and earth at the lights in the footwell and doors you want to change/move so what is the problem? What controls that maybe an issue and all end in tears.

It sounds simple to me (if I was ever 20 again) but I am not about to suggest anything that may potentially make smoke ;) .

But I will say welcome:).

The car is too dark at night.
I changed my car from Mercedes-Benz to Range Rover, and since the Mercedes-Benz has ambient lighting as standard, the interior of the car was bright and pretty.

Lots of the mercs and bmws had/have very subtle led downlights built into the bottom of the rear view mirror.

As modern cars are very complex i would be inclined to fit it is a stand alone system, so any issues will not mess the car up.
Keep is simple and fit the lights where you want, then simply have them powered by plugging into the cigarette lighter.

Omg, why on earth would u install lights that are going to effect ur vision particularly when driving down a dark road

indeed have the wiring diagrams for these vehicles but can see that causing issues to the canbus system

nothing like advertising to the police to pull u over for an offensive lighting, lol
