Have any of you loverlies got a starter motor goin spare for a n/a 2.5 doozul? Make me an offer I can't refuse..;) Need it for me 'Pink Fink'.:)

Ooh! Ooh! can I have one for my 2a diesel...I've got the bracket to convert the dynamo but I have'nt been able to get me hands on a decent alty yet.

Everybody form an orderly queue! No pushin at the front!

Ha aha ha its been a long day....teaching 14 year olds what the which end of the chisel to hit the timber with....fair doos...i'll be off then...mind you...if anyones' got an alty......???

Yeh I wondered if they were the same... I got a brick under the seat which seems to fix it at the mo... :rolleyes:
 
Too buggered to clean up then.... I been keeping mine goin with a quick strip and blow now and again....sorry what we talkin about again....errrr?

I got one - in north Northamptonshire, ideally I'd swap it for a useable SWB series back door but if you haven't got one it's yours anyway if you can get it picked up - just pass the favour on and I'm sure it will work it's way back.

will be gone for a while now, be back this evening

The Petrol engine starter is nothing like as powerful as a diesel engine starter.

It wouldn't get the first piston over TDC .... then it would stall, and probably melt.

Remember, when an electric motor STOPS it is near enough a dead short across the power supply. A stalled Starter will draw a gigantic current.

See, I'm happy today.. Ive learnt something! Bet all these people complaining about having the p*ss taken out of them dont know the difference between a petrol and a deisel starter...! ;)
