if you are going to spray something onto something to stop something sticking too it (very something ish there)

it would stand to reason that said sprayed something would also stop your tyres gripping the road..

"hello insurance... yeah ive just sprayed silicon all over me tyres to stop the mud sticking to them and i just crashed..."

Not a good idea....

All anti-mud stuff is is basically a polish that adds a layer to your paint work, this will allow you to simply wash off what's been left on there. I will need reapplying over time but I bet it's no better than decent paint polish after all that's what polish is meant for, not just shiney but keeping a car clean!

What he said! It would be lethal if it worked.

Wouldnt use them on road tires! Purley for off road purposes only!

So it wouldnt work?

Well when you're off roading you are relying more on mechanical grip than chemical grip so it would not be as much of a big deal, still a silly idea IMHO however :D

duck oil, wd-40 ...any silicone based stuff will make it easier to wash off. Some stuff is alot better than others. Wouldnt put any on your tyres as it will rub off too quickly and not be effective

you will have to stay below 60mph m8 any faster and the fuel flows too fast and the magnets cant work properly

I've heard they work better if you drive north....but you need to disconnect them before driving back south, cos otherwise it'll stop the fuel going in perfectly aligned:D

Hey,

I saw an advert for anti mud spray to keep mud from sticking to cars, though I like my Landy muddy.

Anyone know if would work sprayed all over tires to prevent mud/clay from sticking in them? Might be a stupid question though thought it worth an ask! Could be really useful if it works.
