Why does it look dodgy? I don't understand.

It's a 2001 defender with a TDCI bonnet. I have a 2000TD5 and the steering wheel is the same as my original. There isn't much info in the ad but he's put a contact number down, I suppose if you call and go see it and you feel it's funky then you walk away. And report him if you feel the need.

Now I'm not saying that bonnet is stolen ;) as weve all seen the newspaper article about the increase in TDCI bonnets going walk about!

You might be being a little critical of people there.

Only the CSW steering wheels had a buldge the hardtop and cab etc didn't have a buldge just the steering wheel shown. :p:D

I changed my wheel and had to look into how many splines etc and that's how you tell on a td5 etc.

1986 LAND ROVER DEFENDER 200 TDI GALV CHASSIS SWB

I cant say if this particular vehicle is dodgy, even if this company is dodgy, but I would be suspicious of a Trade Seller that trades under many different names... the same seller is listed as lannys, lannys4x4, defenders ??

Surely if your wanting to build a good reputation, a good brand you keep to the same trading name ?? I would want a consistant trading history with a trader if I was parting with my cash, not one changing names frequently.... just my opinion.

Exactly, I suppose that's one thing you must do is always try is buy from a trusted seller, but even then you can still get caught out.
