I have used a product called Asta 3000 in a very cloged up rover 825 sd and it worked very well and very impressed.

there either paraffin sold in bloody exspensive small amounts or molyslip ,just buy good high detergent diesel oil ,mineral if changing regulary or synthetic if your lazy,nothing will put metal back on rings or bore or will remove glaze without hurting bearings ,vim i think it was people used to use ,best thing for engine is plenty of oil changes and good burn up motorway ,been an annoying **** doing 40 mph on weekend is luckly best way of shortening life
