I bought 4 amber strobes. 2 front 2 back. Was wondering if anybody had any good places/methods of attach the 2 front ones behind the grill?

Why?

IMHO In a real recovery situation you'd be better with a couple of decent high mounted work lamps rather than low mounted bright strobes putting people off.

Already got the work lights. The amber strobes are for cautioning people of a hazard

So why try hiding them behind the grille?

Are you a recovery specialist? Why not put a warning light where people expect to see it, in a bar on the roof?

No trying to hide them just want them behind the grill.

Mine are a little bit smaller than this in the pictures, but the pic gives the idea

Amber flashing lights, including rotating lights with the exception of hazard lights. Are illegal unless on a reco ery truck, slow moving vehicle, highways maintenance etc. Strobes are illegal on all vehicles

Should be fine on a defender then! I thought it was only illegal to operate them whilst moving on the road unless one of the above?

Never said i was going to be using them on the roads! Main use will be off road, on work sites, private roads etc. And if i was going to use them on the road it would most likely be as a slow moving vehicles as an escort vehicles.

I wasnt planning on driving along the road at 60mph with them on!
