Right, im not talking budgie smugglers here before anyone decides to crack a joke

I have replaced my 3 dials with newer style gauges (Durites marine gauges) but now my speedo looks crap and old. This is quite a long shot but has anyone seen an alternative speedo setup available for the 90's??

If not I may look into rebuilding the current one to give a more updated look if anyones doon/seen anything about doing such a job?

Put a TeeDeeFive speedo in.

Once my 90 is back on the road and I am happy with all the important stuff I am going to look into a TeeDeeFive dash update.

Google TD5 Defender Gauges convesion or upgrade or similar and there are several very good guides.

If you only want to do the speedo you would need the sender for the gearbox, a piece of wire from it to the gauge (you can drop that chunky speedo drive cable) and then it's the case of giving the gauge a speedo sender signal, a power and a illumination connection for the backlights.

It's not difficult at all and a nice update.

You can then wind the new one on to the same as your current one with a very simple little electical circuit you can make for about £1.50 or get a fast drill to turn the speedo for a while - or get one close to the mileage of your landy and then it won't take long.
