Hello I have a issue with my alarm. The interior sensor does not pick me up if i am inside and ive armed it even after opening and closing a door. the LED seems to flash at the armed rate not faster for 10 seconds as rave suggests so its arming immediately suggesting sensor issue. fuse is ok and there is 12v and neg at the sensor. if i hold pin switch down and release after arming the alarm sounds ok.
when i first got the veichle the alarm was going off randomly but after fitting a new landrover battery it seemed to stop this but hence i find the sensor and led not as it should. what do you think?
when i bought the car the garage read codes and one was 149 low voltage at interior sensor!

new sensor? and does it need resetting in the bcu or does it need reading first?

there are but all technically in one unit the 2 back ones are wired into the box which houses the front ones and so all via same elecronic pc.

one lock on the fob should super lock the car, including the inside sensors. pressing lock twice will disable the sensors. this is how it works on mine though.

all depends on the programming within the ECU.

Sounds a bit arse about face. But hey ho. :):)
Makes perfect sense - you can't fail to Superlock as it is only one button press....

The Volumetric Sensor don't sense movement as such, they sense a change in volumetric pressure inside the vehicle .... i.e. if a door gets opened, a window gets smashed, I am sure to set them off by sitting in the car you have to move around a bit to move the air around to trigger the sensor!

i think its the volumetic sensor iffy as the self check would fail and then the 10 second faster arming flash would skip as it goes straight to full alarm arming omitting the sensor as it has not recieved the confirm signal from the sensor to the bcu. hence no arming 10 second faster led sequence and no detection from the sensor.

are these ywc500020 units prone to fail or not i know the sensor on the p38 was a fail item but what about these?

hippo is right my error it always superlocks even using the key its unlike p38 in that respect.
