Just came to replace front wheel bearing on my D2. It's been sitting outside the shop for the last 2 weeks.
Tried to unlock but the key fob will not unlock the doors. However, when I try the fob, the interior light comes on as normal. Unlock with the key drivers, door only (and lock). The central unlock button only works now with the engine running.
A couple of times I have unlocked with the key opened the door and set the alarm off. Key fob silences the alarm OK so its obviously transmitting.
When the key fob is used, there is no indication from the car hazard lights as before.
I have also got a strange little icon flashing next to the digital trip meter on the dash when the engine is running. It looks like a rectangular symbol divided into 2 with a diagonal line through it. Can't find it in the handbook.
This is all very strange.
Anyone got any ideas?

if it was much rain in the last 2 weeks check for water ingress at the BCU and at the fusebox(IDM) in the compartment under the steering wheel... if u feel wet around there disconnect battery(neg. first), unplug all connectors one by one, clean with contact spray.... after u reconnect the battery, turn ignition to pos II and leave it so for minutes, then turn it off...after that u can start the engine. In case if u dont know u have to remove the glovebox to reach the BCU(in pic) ... the water used to get there through the windscreen's seal
