P38A Aircon problem.

Not really a major problem at this time of the year, but thought I'd start looking into it before summer.

My aircon only cools when the digital temperature is at 16C. Anything above that it does not. When at 16C it is nice and cool straight away so the compressor etc seems to be OK. I think it may be a problem with the controls. Any ideas what I could try looking into, mending or replacing?

It may be that the little aspirator/temp sensor, under the clock, needs taking out and cleaning. The clog up with crap over the years.

Easy to replace, I did mine a long time ago, cant remember how much they are

Cheers, I'll give it a go. Need to sort out some other things first like a dead battery and leak in the air suspension. I've bought a compressor rebuild kit as well.

Also check the other sensors, as well as the aspirator fan

• Heater Core Sensor (water temp sensor clipped onto the pipes from the engine.)
• Evaporator Sensor (pushed into rubber grommet at the back right near the evaporator)
• Solar Sensor (top middle of dash)

HEVAC uses them all to decide how to deliver the temp you request.
