Hi and good morning to all members, took airbag ecu off my 2005 td4 two days ago to send for reset as car is having airbags replaced after a light front end knock, didn't try to start until today and now find it won't rev above 2500 or so and a right hand engine symbol illuminates,it ran perfectly before ecu removal ,does anyone know if this is the cause, I just think its to much of a coincidence to be anything else as it had not been started since, thanks in anticipation of replies
put 2 gallon of diesel in today as it looked a bit low, started first go but would only rev to 3500 then the r/h engine light would come on so turned off to try again, now it won't start at all, cranks over well and tried to catch once,i'm thinking it could be pump as i cant hear anything or blocked fuel filter, anyone got any ideas basic tests etc thanks

I think its just coincidence,a quick check with a diagnostic tool will tell you for sure.
BTW where are you sending your airbag ecu ? They are normally single use and are fried after use.

Never known an airbag to be linked to engine in that way!
