Another minor niggle with my 2000 (X) 2.5 DHSE is that the air suspension, which generally works fine, does not self-level straight away.

Nine times out of ten I can start the car and the suspension with self-level straight away as it should, but occasionally it won't and the display will flash. However, it will always sort itself out within a mile of driving.

Anyone had any similar experiences?

That is due to a lack of stored air pressure. You have an intermittent storage side leak possibly NRV1. Look at the "How to"section.

And you were conspicuous by your absence this weekend Tony:);)

Things to do, been down in garage for a while every day for last week or so, tidy up and. Welding ride on mower deck ready for blast and powder coating. Had tank out of car replaced lift pump, replaced brake lines at rear. Been a busy boy. Only got to do N/S ball joints for MOT and should be a good un. Other side can bloody wait. All that work for a bloody split gaiter. :D :D
