When I dropped the sump on my L322 in January, I used a jack under it as I had no idea how heavy it would be!

thought of the jack idea Saint problem is i'm bit heavy handed probably put the jack through the bottom of the sump. got my mate sorted just offered him a breakfast before we start, and possibly supper after. its just years since done this sort of thing, but i brought the p38 as a bit of hobby to keep me occupied so got to give it a go. looking forward to it if i'm truthfull. i was wary about doing the heater plugs but really enjoyed doing them albeit probably took me twice as long as anybody else, just proved to myself that i could so well pleased. hope the same goes for this project.

Finally got there have changed the oil and filter in the auto box, took a while but with the weather being good thought i'd give it a go thanks to the advice on here and the rave manual all done, took my time and it was bit awkward for me but i've done it so well pleased with myself. also changed oil in engine, oil filter,fuel filter,air filter, pollen filters and the plenum filter put some aluminium mesh in front hopefully this will help stop it falling apart and it looks nice. all done over three week period, also greased up under neath, while i was under there, again thanks for the advice and help from all on here. one question my p38 is march 2000 dhse it doesn't have a dip stick for the automatic box should it have one or not

Finally got there have changed the oil and filter in the auto box
No later ones dont have dip stick ,only undo top up plug when empty for pre fill, when it dribbles out with engine off, screw back in start car go through gears put in park with engine running refill unto it dribbles out then its topped up .
Never undo without enging running as it will spill out.
The only time you can undo it is when engine is running in park or if the sump has been emptied read for a prefill .
