Adding new key remote

Hi all looking for some help advice ,i have a 2009 FL2 GS TD4 one of my fobs went down and after looking at dealer costs I decided to go down the route of buying the GAP IID tool to reprogram fob my self ,I have since found out that this tool doesn’t support this on models older than 2013 if any could point me in the right direction of what they did would be much appreciated

That's correct, the Gap IID doesn't do key programming on the key dock models.
Unfortunately your only option is to a dealer for a new key.

What's wrong with the old key?
Have you attempted to have the damage key repaired? There is a specialist on another forum who can replace the batteries and casing to restore the key fob.

Oh and non engine questions are best asked in the Freelander section of the forum, rather than this lower traffic engine section sub-forum. ;)
