Add the amplifier

Hey Guys,

Got a Disco 2. No amp currently fitted.

I've recently replaced the head unit, and would like to upgrade the speakers and fit an amp.

If I were to buy a disco 2 amp off ebay.. would it be a case of just plugging it in or do I need to rewire and mess about?

Any help appreciated.

Depends on the location of the amplifier if you need to run wires but then it all plug in nowdays.

Yeah that's what I'm not sure about. I know that the D2's with the HK audio system have the amps under the passenger seat. Mine doesn't have one, but does appear to have a loose loom connected under there. I wondered if it was just a case of plugging in the amp under the seat and away we go.

I doubt it's plug n play if fact there no such thing with car audio if you are moving from the factory spec.

The plug for the amp is C0491...if u have one like that there and find a suitable amplifier just plug it in

Hmmm, the connector I have under there is brown.. maybe for electric seats then or something

Oh well, was worth checking.
