Hi Guys, I don't know what to do, My ace unit is leaking and my garage are saying it is an expensive job and my landy dosn't warrant it, Can anyone help me. Thanks Wayne

where from ?,seals arent dear ,pipes can be in that pump to valve block cost me £100 ish ,used parts are available from breakers oe ebay etc

Hi Im not sure, all the garage have said is that it is leaking and it needs a new unit plus new pipes. They've quouted me £1000, I can not afford it. But I don't want to get rid of my car!!. Really stuck.

if you really can't find a decent mechanic to tell you where it's leaking(as jamesmartin said most common are the seals which are not very expensive) you can get rid of it, see this http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f8/problem-ace-system-leaking-199932.html, there is a special kit for ACE removal for around GPB300 if you want the most cheap fix you need 4 x this 10mm x 1mm M10 Straight Hydraulic Grease Nipple HMM10 100 , fit them instead of the banjo bolts in the actuators and fill both sides of the actuator evenly with some thin grease, then or buy an idler(ERR6949), fit it instead of the pump(and sell the pump), or if you think to fix the ACE in the future connect the pump's outlet to the return pipe to reservoir cos the pump must work with oil or it "dies"....this way the car will act like in "locked bars" condition aka on conventional ARB's

just make sure that the bajo bolts have M10 thread(if not buy proper grease nipples) cos when a friend of mine did this mod he made himself some fittings for grease nipples on his lathe and i just estimated by eye that they are M10

I removed mine completely with the kit from DLS. (they advertise the kit on ebay but if you contact the shop its a lot cheaper) Its a straight forward job to swap it all but you need to have the slab unit reprogrammed to tell it its no longer fitted. They quoted me 30 quid but i've never bothered taking it back to get it done. I'd rather give my money to someone on here who has the right machine to do it.
