Hi I’m Sean, I’ve recently removed ace from my newly acquired D2. It was beyond economical repair for me. I tried unplugging the bcu and bridging connectors 11 and 36. This removed the fault on the instrument cluster. However now my key fob won’t work. I’ve used the Eka to gain access and start the vehicle. I’ve removed the bridge and plugged the bcu back in. Still no access with key fob. The rf receiver is newly replaced. Does anyone have any ideas please?

Hi, first of all make sure that you know what you are talking about, especially the red part... cos it's not about the BCU but about the ACE ECU and not connectors but connector pins albeit if the ACE warning lamp went out means that you bridged the correct wires

the main question is: did you do anything with the BCU's connectors too or not?

Thanks for the reply, it’s probably my lack of knowledge calling it the bcu. Underneath the glove box on passenger side unplugged the ecu. I first bridge in the plug 36 and 28 the ace fault remained on the cluster

Hi

Thanks for the reply, it’s probably my lack of knowledge calling it the bcu. Underneath the glove box on passenger side unplugged the ecu. I first bridge in the plug (side with the cable) 36 and 28 the ace fault remained on the cluster I then bridge 36 and 11 the fault was then cleared off the cluster. Hope this make sense. Now the key fob won’t open the door or disarm the alarm. The rf receiver was changed a couple of days prior and was working. I’m sending my spare key to get checked and repaired today.
