My eBay purchase seems to work. Not only has the three amigos been extinguished, but the annoying inappropriate triggering of the traction control has also gone.Hi Rob, How is it doing? Can you post a link if any good as I need to buy one now. Cheers
250 Nm + 1 flatHmm. 400Nm torque wrenches are a smidge pricey aren't they?!
What have you guys used/done in the past?
Get yourself something like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3-4-DR-DR...672629?hash=item58c2580db5:g:7C8AAOSw42JZL~Hu
and swing on it. It'll be close enough to 400Nm
Ooooo, that's using maths n stuff. Nice one.No need to swing on it, if you weigh 80 Kgs, just stand on it at the half meter point from the nut ctr ( don't bounce on it) . Close enough to be Job done.
Cheers
Buying a 3/4" 32mm socket ought not set the bank back by much, so I'll get into eBay now![]()
Thanks! Pleased so far!Well done Rob![]()
Check for a bent/loose guard rubbing when looking for the bearing. SWMBO had been complaining for weeks about a rubbing noise and I put it down the the bearing. While it might be on the way out the noise she was hearing was the guard completely broken off and lying against the disk. Thanks! Pleased so far!
Still to do:
NSF lower wishbone
NSF TRE
Hunt the noisy bearing (front VCU support bearing strongly suspected)
IRD oil change (been on the to-do list for ages!!)
Repair rust hole in the rear door
Then it's just a couple of minor items!![]()
