Next problem, i want to remove the tremendously reliable abs on my 94 disco, is it a straight forward job, to go straight from the master cylinder down to to the wheel cylinders?or is a new master cylinder required?
can anybody recommend a thread? Many thanks PAul

The abs has been removed from my 93 rangerover, the hydraulic unit has been taken off and the master cylinder swapped for a non abs unit.I can't see the mot being a problem (never has been for mine) as the abs light will no longer function at all.

if a non blind tester spots the wires goin to the wheel hubs and he checks his test sheet that tells him if it came out of the factory with it fitted as standard then it will be a fail

Insurance company won't be happy. If you tell them they probably won't want to know you, if you don't tell them and run into someone, a good excuse not to pay up.
