Had a fantastic day off road at Bovington Camp yesterday, and considering my Disco is standard and on road tyres, it did brilliantly well getting about without getting stuck once.

Anyway, it's the first time I've ever really had to use the hill decent properly, and I noticed that at times the ABS pump was remaining on, even after the brakes weren't in use. As soon as I tapped the brake pedal, all was fine.

I have no warning lights, ABS is working fine, as is the Hill descent. What is the likely cause of this, does anyone know?

Thanks.

Yes sorry, it may not be could even be a valve.
I will have a trawl through the rave manual see if i can find what it might be

Ok do you have copy of the manual.
if not put a search in on here for rave manuals and download it.
I just read the section on brakes interesting, and complex there are no external switches that i can see.
Could be a valve sticking or electrical fault, may be worth getting it plugged in, and see what comes back for a start.
I change my brake fluid every 2 years, if crap was in system it may cause shuttle valve to stick.
Stabbing in the dark a bit, but do the cheap easy things first

Thanks for replies. I haven't downloaded Rave, but I'm aware of it. My brother-in-law also ownes a D2 and has the Terrafirma code reader, and it showed no faults.

It's not a massive problem, but just wondered if anyone else had encountered it before.
