I am sorry for my first post being a negative one but I am only posting to try help you guys not get ripped off, I would like to bring to your attention my brother and my dealings with www.bronco4x4.com.
the tyres ordered were 4x bronco grizlies 265 75 16's for my brothers Shogun Sport

Right the story goes my brother ordered tyres from www.bronco4x4.com on Monday the 21st Jan and was told he would have the tyres on the wed or thursday.
Wednesday came and went and so did Thursday, now by this point my brother had tried to make contact with bronco4x4 several times and only managed to get the engaged tone or answer phone, he had also contacted Mastercard to find out that bronco4x4 had taken full payment on Monday 21st!!
Anyways he finaly manages to get through to bronco4x4 on Friday to be told they didnt know what had happened, all the papaerwork was in place but the tyres had not been sent, my brother was then told they would be in the post that day.

Saturday comes and goes and no tyres, my brother eventually gets through after many hours of getting the engaged tone or answer phone along with sending a few emails to be told that in fact bronco4x4 didnt actually have the tyres and he would have them by the end of the week ie. today! (Friday 1st Feb)
Well guess what no tyres, unfortunately my brother is now out on the rigs so it has been left to me to try contact them so here is a copy of my communications with them:-

Just I have been pressing redial as soon as I have hung up and yet after half an hour of trying I still cannot seem to get in contact
Are you trying to avoid me?
I only wish the tracking no for my brothers tyres as he is at his work and cannot deal with it right now.

The time is now 1630 and I have still to hear from you
(by email)

Ok, it is now 1708hrs 1st feb 2008

I have now wasted a whole day trying to contact you and I am most displeased.

Why do you refuse to contact me, I only ask for the tracking no. for the tyres you are supposed to have dispached to my brother (therefor you should have said tracking no.)

Have you actually sent the tyres or are you stalling for more time?

Usualy when a customer orders something and the company does not have it the money is NOT taken untill the goods are ready to be shipped, now if you do not have the tyres and you have taken payment I see this as theft!

please contact me, its not hard to lift a phone or type a few words in an email.

(if goods are not received, my brother will be forwarding all emails to his credit card company, and traiding standards)

On further digging I have found this today

http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/291/ripoff0291859.htm

it says

I telephoned this company after visiting there website, and spent £460 on Landrover wheels and tyres, After paying by telephone using my bank card I was told the wheels would be with me in 3 days. Anyway 4 days went by so I telephoned the company to be told that they were in transit and the courier still could deliver upto 5.30pm. They failed to show. A few more days went past so I rang again to be told the same, I was told this every day for 6 days and still received nothing. As you can imagine by this time I was getting frustrated with the company just fobbing me off so I asked for a courier tracking number and telephone number.

They couldn't supply tracking number as there computer was down and told me the courier didnt have a telephone number??? I waited a further day or so just to be told they still couldn't get me the tracking number so I told them if I didn't receive the wheels by the next day I would be requiring a refund... As you have probably guessed the wheels didn't show so I telephoned them to arrange my refund, In total 20+ phone calls with no answer, so I withheld the number and hey presto they answered but soon as I mentioned my name they hung up on me! So I repeatedly hit the redial button and they answer and tell me he would arrange the refund that evening and to expect the money back in my account within 2-3 days. 5 days have now passed and no money has been refunded to my account? Ive been in constant contact with my bank and they have told me to get a Transaction Id for the refund that was supposedly sent, The company answered the phone and told me they couldn't get the number until there accountant was in the shop later that evening and instructed me to ring back after 6.30pm,, but they close at 6.00pm, He assured me he would answer the phone as after 6.00pm as they were still on the premises that evening. I decieded to ring early and guess what.... NO ANSWER!! Since then ive made numerous amount of calls but they fail to answer any of them or respond to my email. Im now taking legal action against them to get my money back , And have involved consumer direct/Trading standards as well as notifying leek police. I would urge anyone thinking of buying from this company to stay well clear.....

beware i would NOT DEAL with www.bronco4x4.com if you are looking for off road tyres

again sorry for my first post here being a negative one, but I dont want you guys getting ripped off

Graeme

both, my brother is £360 out of pocket and has no tyres.
the Gentleman that runs bronco will not respond to any questions now

As I stated bronco informed us that goods had been shipped, yet several days later admits that he didn have the stock in the first place and the goods have not been shipped, now he is trying the same thing again

im sorry that I may be coming accross a bit angry but when you pay for something you expect the product and not lies
Graeme

Are Bronco even still trading ?
Last time I went past the Leek depot it was close and either for sale / to let or another firm had taken over the premises (I cann't remember which but definatly noted they weren't there any more)

i heard recently they no longer make tyres so grizzly claws are worth a lot on fleabay and the like.

**** knows why theyre completely **** tyres anway. howl like a bitch, last about 10k on the road and griffdowgs set delaminated if i remember rightly.

ok just gave them a call, withholding your no works a treat

to my amazement I was given a consignment no for buisness post, I asked when it was dispached and he told me 3 or 4 days ago and that he would chase it up.
I entered the consignment no in buisness posts website and there was no information so I cave them a call and that consignment no was only booked this morning and not been picked up yet, the buisness post guy says he cant find out the delivery address untill after 7 pm tonight when it goes on the system

there might be light at the end of the tunnel but who knows, still not a way to run a buisness or treat customers im my book

we wouldnt have had a problem if he had just told us that he didnt have the tyres and was waiting for them to be delivered, rather than being lied to and strung along for two weeks
Graeme

Im in the exact situation,,,This happened to me 3 months ago,I ordered 235 bronco grizzly claws and never ever received them.I kept getting fobbed off with lame excuses that they would be delivered,,,in the end i demanded a refund but never even received that,,and kept been told that it was a mix up and the refund would be sent following day(this went on for about a month,,,before they stopped answering my calls).I rang consumer direct and told them what the problem was and trading standards are now dealing with it and have told me that My money will be returned.......If i was you id get in touch with them straight away:mad:

if you want the telephone number of the trading standards office thats dealing with this for me ,send me a private message and ill send you it.They no all about this company

Im sorry I have not posted the results but I have been at sea and I am not long home.

As it happens my brother received his tyres 2 days later.

I am sorry to hear someone else has been caught out whilst dealing with this fellow.
With holding your no (dialing 141 before his no) works a treat and you usually get through

I hope your situation gets sorted soon

Graeme

Same here guys, ordered tyres from bronco on 9th of march. 3 weeks later still no tyres so rang an demanded a refund on 27th of march. Now its the 11th of april an still no refund, was told 3 days an i would have it. keep ringin an gettin told to check my bank but every time its not in. Now the last 3 days ive been told the accounts person is not in. Time for legal action now or the 12 bore shotgun i think!!

Legally speaking, they are not allowed to debit your account until they ship the product. So they've debited your account and not dispatched. If it's a credit card inform the credit card co. If it's a debit card, it depends on account type - Barclays Additions or Platinum you have same protection, and the Natwest Premier account as well.
