:eek:

I wondered about the extra deep dish standard Disco steelies on page 1.
It's fookin' obvious now you've said!!

Is that even safe to do??

So, so dangerous!!

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

It won't sit correctly against the hub and the nuts have no way of centering.

I don't fancy your chances of explaining that to your insurers in the event of an accident - or even explaining it to somebody's family.

havent had any problems at all. not even a wobble at any speeds. got more lock and a much more stable ride.

the mud guards for the brakes are bent to **** tho. hear in trinidad we dont have mot so they wont be much explaining to do. i check my wheel nuts very often to make sure there not loose.

for now its working fine but i agree its still not ideal. saving up for some terrafirma 10" wide rims as soon as i can.

Ok so i dont really see how this could kill someone and im not this first person to do this with these rims...
are you trying to tell me that my wheel is going to fall off on the highway? even though there is no wobble or shim and my wheel nuts remain tight? or is my steel rim gona break?
if somone can explain to me how my wheel might just fall off ill go home and flip them back but for now i don't really see a problem unless your concerned about me damaging my break discs on a rock.

With respect, if you can't see why this is wrong then you shouldn't be behind the wheel. Just because others do it doesn't make it right. :mad:

All wheels have a recess which enable the wheel stud/nut to sit correctly and to self centre. Yours will not do this. :eek:

All wheels have a large flat surface which is designed to sit against the hub. Yours will be sitting on the small rings around the nut recesses. :eek:

All brake discs/calipers are protected by sitting inside the wheels but yours aren't. They are vulnerable to damage from a wide variety of sources. :eek:

Do yourself a favour - turn them around.
