A bit of Tech help if poss

Ive got a 300 TDI Discovery 1, It lost power and wouldnt rev up, My first thought was Lift pump so i Changed that and the filter, But in the end it was a Blocked Fuel line,

My main query is, Should the lift pump be under pressure ?? Its starting fine and running Fine but when i pump the lift pump its still not under pressure, Is this normal or do i still have a Problem somewhere,

I also need to mention that the sedimenter has been by passed by the previous owner, I was going to replace this with an inline filter,

All help would be greatly recieved,

when you push lever its working through a spring so you wont feel pressure

Ah right i always thought that it pressured up so couldnt be pushed any more

Excelent cheers Will an inline filter be good enough as a replacment for the sedimenter or should i look into putting a new one on

you dont need a sedimentor you have drain screw on bottom of filter ,drain occasionally and check for water etc
