I need an A-Bar for my air-con Defender 110.

Was looking at the one marketed by Rebel 4x4. Are these reliable and trustworthy people, both in terms of the quality of what they sell and delivering what they say they’ll deliver when they say they’ll do that?

(I asked them about another item, too, but they aren’t in a big hurry to reply).

They had a query with something I ordered one day and rang me up to check that the order was correct rather than send out the wrong item.

They also cocked up an order for some side steps on another occasion. They sent me out a set for a 90 instead of a 110. I rang them to tell them about their mistake. They had the correct set out to me the next day and took the wrong ones back. All in all I can't complain.

I ordered my steering guard from them a while back and, despite it ending up at City Link without a label, they seemed quite keen to help locate it! Eventually got it but needed to grind of a load for the track rod (or whichever one it is at the front) as it wouldn't fit.... Not sure it this is a design fault or oversight, but seemed a little wrong that I had to modify it even though it was supposed to be the right one for my motor!

Do you mean the drop arm? Mine just catches on full lock. As it's galvanised I'm reluctant to grind it. I might get around to bending it out the way one day.

No, it's definitely the shorter one of the two steering rods... Had to take about half an inch out of the way for it. Could be something to do with the lift I guess...
