I do hope someone can help?
When I started driving my 99 Td5 this morning I noticed a small amount of clutch oil had seeped down the clutch pedal & onto the floor.
During the course of the day it got worse & turned from a few drips into a small puddle! The clutch, over a short time became almost unusable so I brought it home.
I checked the clutch fluid & it was empty, filled it up & pumped the clutch & it seems to of almost gone back to how it should be. I dont want to drive it though & I'm using the Mrs car for work tomorrow. Does anyone know what the prob could be?
Many thanks Ian

The seals have failed on your clutch master cylinder. Time for a new one.

Its a simple job, its the first ever job I did on my 90. You can replace the seals for about £5 and simply rebuild the old one, the cylinder never really wears out unless there was grit in the fluid and it scored it.

I got a Delphi one in my local motor factors for £27. DON'T GET A BRITPART cylinder or seals.

I think we should all write to paddocks (they sell mostly BP junk), and tell them what s**t their stuff is.

It's bad enough working out what part number you need sometimes without the investigation before buying into WHO makes it.

I don't know why LRO give them such a big plug and have the Britpart LR etc, that thing will go 1000miles if its lucky then suffer from lots of major faults.

What gets me is these guys doing the LR up are going to be fairly skilful they do make a good job of the LR, they must know the stuff is pants and doesn't fit properly and needs modified and comes out the box with wobbles in the bearings and things. Or do you think all the critical stuff is actually other manufacturers?
