hi im thinking of doing 1 to my 90 and was just wonderin if anyone on here has had ny experience or ideas. also does anyone no if you can buy kits ?
cheers any comments would be much apreciated

dont really like using angle grinder rather use a plasma cutter i can get it more acurate, im gonna have ago when the weather gets abit better

id use a grinder for the lot as plasma cutters dont earth well on paint so you would have to sand down to bare metal and youd need to use a grinder for the roof section anyway mate

na plasma all the way just grind paint away on the line you want and plus ill drill out rivets on roof take rails of and cut straight across, i see what u mean with angle grinder but ive had bad experiences with them and i try to steer clear wheneva i can

Doing this at the moment. Not too bad a job easy-er if you've got van sides and no alpine windows.
Remove the roof and sides .
Decide how short you want it,and mark it up.
Drill out pop rivets drivers/passengers heads.
Remove sides and cut the rear half panel leaving an overlap (about 4 inches) You don't cut any of the front panel so you will be using the holes in that to pop the lap on to.A bit of sealant when you do.
You have to cut the gutter so a bit of careful cutting of the lap section is needed so that the gutters butt up. Pop it and weld the gutter.
Side panels cut from rear then i got some alloy angle and popped that on the rear corners.
Then cut rear door in half use top as lift up door with gas rams off an old hatchback and hinges on the top.I used normal front door hinges but ground them down so they are flat on the backs.

Ran out of room...
Then make a rear bulkhead out of some box section, about inch by inch.Weld it up bolt it in.I've used the bottom half as the tailgate but side opening.
Havn't finished it yet need some sheet alloy for rear bulkhead frame and fit the gas struts .
I will put a couple of pictures on when it's done :)
