My fender attracts more women than my mates disco if that helps.:D

What are you wanting to pull/tow with your hybrid?

Yeah defender seems better deal cheaper on partsfor body thendisco. I got caravan. I know it will pull that easily. It was just for sake of argument etc. I have decideto go hybrid 100 on mydisco chassis

In Australia , Mack prime mover with a poclain excavator.
Broke down round a bend , towed it about 3/4 mile into layby . Where i repaired it with a spring out of a ball point pen !!:clap2: (primary inj pump)

Have to agree. Used to have 1996 300tdi disco, exchanged for 1997 300tdi 110 defender. Towing a horse trailer with 2 horses and the defender beats the disco hands down. Plus defender seems much more stable on the road.

I ran a '98 Disco 300tdi and now run a '92 110 200tdi and the Defender pulls a million times better than my Disco did.

possibly more to do with the gearing than the actual engine output.

have had both 300 and 200tdis and dont have a problem with either although I do know some who say 200 is a lot stronger engine.
