53 plate freelander help

Hi just brought a freelander 53 plate 1.8 petrol spares or repairs
It's making a noise wen driving I not drove it yet think May be prop or diff like a grinding noise any ideas it's only done 73 thousand miles payed £400 for it goin pick it up at end of month it's not been on long drive most in one trip would 60 mile trip now and agine rest just round town could it be diff oils ect any ideas

What happened to the Disco1 you bought a few months back for £500?
That had terminal transmission faults as well didn't it?

Disco running spot on now just fitted special tracks winch bumper just got a snorkel for it just got this freelander as well nice little motor will put some pics on of both soon and hope it's something simple
