Hi,
I,m just contemplating purchasing a 4.4 vogue 2014 reg, and was wondering what are peoples real experiences with fuel economy My journeys are mostly short trips of say 2 miles with a max being 10. Its a diesel but not sure which auto box. 53k miles. Thankyou for any replies.

Our 2011 is the year they changed to the rotary gear knob, so 8 speed box.

Long runs (constant, not slow) can see Low/mid 9l/100klms.
Round town short runs can see mid/high 12l/100klms.
It probably wont enjoy only doing short runs all the time because of the DPF. If you are mostly short trips without a good leg stretch every week then you may want to reconsider your choice of car;).

How did we get to brakes, when we were talking about vroom vroom.

Not surprised really the way Fred’s go, That the OP is scared to jump back in with the pool of nutters:p:D:D:D.

I blame the drink, had a few watching the FA cup semi final, only negative was a small number of dickheads who couldn't respect the minutes silence for the 97 Liverpool fans who were unlawfully killed 33years ago yesterday. How's that for a quantum leap.;)

Metric is ok on many things. But completely backwards for fuel efficiency. I want to know how far I can get on a given amount of fuel. Not how much fuel I need to drive a prescribed (100km) distance.

I disagree. I always work out my consumption in miles per litre as the UK has used metric measure for pumping fuel for decades & that's what is shown on your invoice when you buy the stuff.
For those who can't handle 'this new fangled measurement' (used by the Romans thousands of years ago) simply multiply by 4.546 for your MPG ;)

Or just do what I do, put fuel in when required,if running costs are a concern then we've all got the wrong cars.;)
