Hi guys
Have recently purchased a 2011 4.4 tdv8 vogue se, very nice car tbh.
It has started to give me some pretty interesting faults this last few days, driving along and the sat nav will turn off, closely followed by the radio, sometimes the windows will not go up or down, the seats will only move in small increments, the indicators work but do not male the noise or show on the dash, also, more worryingly if you turn it off it will not recognise the smart key ( to start, or to lock unlock).
I have a gap is tool and the codes are mostly medium speed can faults or no communication with BCM faults.
I have checked some connections, there does not seem to have been any water ingress to the n/s/r or the fuse box under the n/s dash.
My assumption is that I have either got a module going down intermittently or possibly the med speed can wire has a short, any suggestions as to wher to start looking or anyone had same or similar problems they’ve dealt with in the past??
Thanks for looking and apologies for the long post. It really could have been much longer

Ok thanks.

just to put your mind at rest the first 2 I get and as everything works I have not been able to trace (yet)

3rd one I will look around see what I have.

oh and the rest. Oh dear, OMG:eek::)

e mail them to yourself from the Gap. For ref later. And the list is so much easier to look at:)

I am thinking it must be a connection issue, but I know how these old girls like to lead us up the garden path.

Ok just looked some strange dates on some of those faults?

can we start with is your battery in tip top condition, in the car and the fob? Batteries need to be 100% or your chasing ghosts.
Have you got any water in the back cubby or around the front carpets, anywhere?

I notice you did your fault check with ignition off, start car and see what you get (I don’t know).
Not at my laptop with all my docs at the moment.

but always e-mail the list before clearing for ref later.

Ok
The battery is brand new, a Varta unit, that was the first thing I changed, the cubby seems bone dry as does everywhere else in the vehicle. I done the codes ign off as when I can back off road test and turned it off, it then wouldn’t recognise the key!!
I am sitting in it now, running, and the radio seems to be cycling on and off every few minutes.
Very sporadic indicator tell tales on the dash when it feels like it, ditto power windows, I will scan it again now.

You sure everything in the nearside rear quarter behind the trim is dry?
