Doing a headgasket on this engine and the loom has melted to this sensor on the top of the head.

I know it controls the egr so is it important to repair the wiring or will it run ok without if I make the wiring safe and leave it disconnected.

Your thoughts are much appreciated :)

Thanks JM I was hoping you would answer :)

We acquired another skimmed and pressure tested head.

We won't have to remove and blank the egr valve then?

Top middle of the head, it's the EGR sensor ...

when you blank off the ERG :D, tape it up out of the way -

In the mean time wrap with leccy tape to keeps it from shorting out on stuff ...

Brilliant :)

I was getting worried about this taking up the whole weekend.

It will be now running tomorrow :)
Just have to connect the pipes, fannymoulds and little bits up now.

Thank you ;)

it would have a maf sensor in between air filter and turbo ,to be honest im not sure when edc came out,but non edc only need basic wiring
