300 tdi propshaft

How long is the rear propshaft on the 300tdi?!

got my new one today, and its 2ft in lenght and does not fit!!! no where near fitting!!!!

measure it against your old one?

old one was a mash up!!

old one it 28inch,

but being a D reg with 300tdi engine and running gear, front/ rear axels, wondered if i was going to get hybrid length issues!!!

shouldnt make any difference the axles dont sit any further forward or backward than yr old axles

and in with the stupid question, the rear diff isnt going to be any bigger smaller is it?! in length, so the fookers have sent me a stupid size prop!!

shouldnt be, i assume it was defender axles? i have fitted rrc and discovery diffs to my defender with no probs

No but the gearbox is in a different place if it's got a 380 in it, innit? 380 propshafts are slightly difrent aren't they?

R380 Gearbox indeed is fitted, dont think its any different, isnt the transferre box that makes the difference, the box in is the disco 300tdi box, but is exactly the same as the one i stuffed and changed for the disco one?!

are you sure that the engine and gearbox haven't been relocated?

no idea how would i tell if its been relocated!?

cos it would be sat in your boot/garage/kitchen...

Did you order it for a D reg (2.5 N/A) or for a 300 Tdi? When LR went to 300 they moved the engine & box so the props were different, so you need to know how you 300 was installed.

gayness, its had a new chassis and now idea what that was from!!! erm well the 300tdi prop it extactly the same length and looks like the old one that i took out. so guessing thats gonna be all fine when i come to pop it back in,

anyone live near brighton with a 300 that i can come spend some time under looking at it!!
