Hi seems to be a gremlin in my landrover alarm, its fine for days then suddenly for no reason it stats going off, normally in the middle of the night meaning I have to get dressed to turn it off due to the fob not been good enough to work through the window.

Anyway can I take the alarm out and keep the remote central locking????

I would imagine it is the same sounder as the defender. If it is then simply pull the plug out the back of it. It should all work fine cept it will be noiseless.

Most likely caused by the volumetric sensor, pull it down, unplug it and put it back, alarm will still work on door switches etc - but not at 3am.:D

Will give this a try, willing to try anything once, had thought about unplugging the very feeble sounder that sounds like its underwater but concerned about draining the battery if I do not use the motor for few days.
