Hi all,
I recently purchased a 2007 full fat 4.2 Supercharged, which has an electronically controlled rear diff. I'm in the process of doing a fair bit of preventative maintenance which includes changing all of the running gear oils to give me satisfaction that I've done my best to prevent any future issues. With that said, my workshop manual states that Castrol SAF-Carbon Mod Plus is the only lubricant which should be used in the rear diff when it is the ETM type... however it looks to me as if this is discontinued. Does anyone know what is a good quality replacement to this oil? I think the specified oil is 75W-140 (ready to stand corrected!), so would Castrol Syntrax Limited Slip 75W-140 be suitable?
Thanks in advance!
Ollie
