Getting error message on Foxwell saying "Fuel pressure monitoring while starting"
Engine turns over fine, I can hear the secondary fuel pump running and I have a little puddle of fuel on the drive under the engine. Diagnostics says engine Mobilised but it won't start. Can anyone point me to where to look next please?
Diagnostics also shows pressure on high pressure rail while cranking.

Cheers

Puddle of fuel on the drive:eek: That's not right, need to locate the source, could be leak off pipes on the injectors.

Made a start today, a bit damp around the HP fuel pump so I now need to get a high pressure fuel pump removal tool and a seal kit.

All older vehicles were much easier to work on than the present ones and pretty fool proof if maintained. These days it is not unusual to pay two hours labour to change a side flasher repeater. It really has gone daft.

Like the new mini, front end off to change side light bulb (apparently)

I sat in the mot room years ago alongside a woman with Lexus IS250, we both had indicator bulb out.
She was pleased to hear my bulb cost 35p and the guy fitted it there for nothing.
When I came out with certificate she was playing hell - £125 + fitting for whole cluster Can’t change bulbs by design

My old MK V Cortina broke down once in wales when the points failed, I walked into a petrol station and asked if they had any points for a Mk V Cortina and he he said " points of oil, points of water?" :D
