Ok Guy's, so ive got a 4.4 TDV8 that won't start, turns over fine but just dosnt fire.

I started off with live data showing 0mpa at the fuel rail, I've replaced the fuel monitoring valve on the back of the pump, the fuel rail pressure regulator on the left rail (as you look at the car) and also the pressure sensor on the right rail at the front.

Hey presto, I'm getting 17mpa at the rail.. Still no start

I've then checked the live data for the crank & shows no crank but RPM, after a little more playing around, I decided to do live data at the rail, yes, its still showing around 17mpa with the ignition on.. however, dosnt change when I turn the car over.

Also what I find a little strange, is that when I unplug the inline fuel pump I still get 17mpa on my live data.. so then, reading the live data, cracked an injector exception for the pressure to go right down, but it still stays at around 17mpa (does fluctuate slightly)..

Am I going MAD or does this not seem right?

I welcome any advice/feedabck as this is really getting to me now..

Thanks in advance

You would have done better to keep this all to 1 fred, but hey ho.

cracked an injector exception for the pressure to go right down, but it still stays at around 17mpa (does fluctuate slightly)..

Where you cranking the engine at the time?

J

No, I was thinking that the rail would hold pressure until I cracked it, then it would loose pressure

The rail will hold pressure after stopping or cranking(even if no start) the engine. This is used so the car starts quick (cos it has pressure) If you are not cranking/ignition off then cracking an injector line should lose all the pressure in the rail.

Did you actually read the docs I posted in your other thread?

When you put the new pressure sensor/regulator in did you make sure the line was clear?

J

Hi, yes, read al the docs that you posted & yes, all lines seem to be clear

Thanks & sorry for another thread, this is actually doing my head in now & just want it sorted
