2001 Defender TD5

Anybody have the dimensions for the sump plug washer, CDU1001L. Motor Factor has a box of washers but can't tell me which one I need. Thanks in advance.....

Yeh, I'd seen that. I might just pull the plug!.....

You can turn it round the other way and use again if it hasn’t been already

They can’t be that expensive, buy a fea different sizes

I buy them in packs of 10 they are very cheap. But if you do need to reuse it it’s best to anneal it first (heat it right up and let it cool naturally )

Also use a different motor factor!

I was taught to heat copper until it was cherry red and then plunge into cold water. Still works for me.

Not good IMO... afaik it's better to let it cool by itself... that cold water thing works for iron or steel, though i'm not a metalurgist

You might want to double check that SF..... on the ferrous materials.

Copper , on a washer, I would cold water cool, saves burning my fingers. But in reality probably would not make a big difference.
