2 part numbers - help please

Hi all,
I have looked through all the parts books but cant find the following part numbers:

series 3, 1978, 2.25 petrol, Full canvass:

part 1: Pan head slot screws that retains hood anchor strip to above windscreen wind screen (has hooked tabs that canvas rope goes through)

part 2: vent flap control cable that operates flap to divert heated air (my cable is missing)

As to the op I may have a cable you can have as I'm not using a heater if not it should be in the big parts book! As should the screws although any which fot should work

Ah, sir needs the additional parts catalogue. Cable is either 347939 or 347940 (not obvious from drawing but probably the former, the other might be the heater control cable) fittings for tilt strip are shown as hex head bolts with nylock nuts (2 off 255207 plus 257401) with all the bits and bobs attached to the strip with pop rivets

I need to find the cable first if I've got a useable one anyway

If not and you want to be cheap just use some steel wire but I'm pretty sure the new part isn't that expensive anyway! My new speedo cable was less than £2 and its about the same length

This is the screw hole...



It is not tapped, the others are pan headed, it goes into the window frame into a cavity but not all the way through so nut and bolt are out of the question unless I drill all the way down.

It looks like a meaty M8 pan head or something!
