Yup this is why I rushed to do it tonight. You should have chance to test it out this weekend
Socket is just a lead under the bonnet, I intend to make a flap for the socket in the false air intake which is on the side where the power is in the garage.Where have you located the socket? And does it say how long it takes to warm the engine? Has it got a timer?
Took the air filer and pipe off mine and managed to get the Kenlowe out...will fit to the Bulkhead and re-plumb in once I tested it...
Will simply stick a standard 3 pin plug on to test, if it works thought I get a Caravan socket (can get them in black) and mount on the front somewhere then simply get a lead thats 3 pin plug to the caravan socket...
There are no other wires on mine going to the dash etc so if there is any auto temp control guess its bult in...as for timer, could just use one on the plug end...was my thoughts....they must exist, like the ones for turning house lights on and off...but one you can just set for 15 mins maybe....I'd be worried about plugging it in and then forgetting about it due to change of plans etc....but all this based on it working which I'll not know until I've finished painting it.
Tell you what tho...spend a fortune on bits....
Windows are cut out and test fitted....the prep is as bad as I expected on the paint....so many layers....its quite strieght in the pannels but while sanding if a chunk of paint falls out ...its spot filler and sand...spot fillet and sand...
Not done anything on it for last two days...just needed a break as was sanding it in my sleep!!
The orange under the matt black seems a good amount of paint was applied...but its rough...
Also worried that some RIVETs (Bought a load) will be best replaced as already sanded down thin before I got to them...sure it will all come together
Socket is just a lead under the bonnet, I intend to make a flap for the socket in the false air intake which is on the side where the power is in the garage.
Need to time how long it takes to warm up, will report back.
No timer, I'll use one on the socket.
I think you missed a bit!1st Coat of gloss black....I enjoy it from this point forward....
