Dont laugh at the Bulkhead Vents...they were rough so matt blacked them to hide the roughness...but gonna take um off again and spend more time on them and gloss black them...looks naff....:) Bonnet looks good though and managed to get the old bonnet stay on with a few "diy" brackets etc....Worth a note...I have to relocate the coolent tank in a bit as the screw cap was hitting the bonnet...just extended the bolts few extra nuts and job done. Used black caps to blank off the ex MOD holes above lights...guess for metal grills or summat....but its comming together...

Ah found it again....it looks like the BIG switch but mine is located where the gauge is...also not labled on mine....but defo seems to be this as in the centre there was nothing...click clockwise side lights on, click clockwise again and same...centre off then same going counter clockwise....could this be just because the light stalk was only on side lights?? Like I say I'm a tad confuse....and dont take much LOL :)

Tital of Pic says:-
This switch turns on, off or disables the headlights, sidelights, tail lights, indicators, dash lights, fog lights and the convoy light.

Can someone provide instructions for this please....its gobbledigook to me...I'm going to be installing the lights back in soon and obviously need to test them, but when I parked it up for paint I could not SUS them out....
A dummies guide then please....I need to know the folling:-
No lights but with working brake and reverse lights and Indicators
Side Lights and above
Side and Main
Side main and Flash.

Many Thanks!!

Anyone? Having a nightmere now with lights....what a stupid setup the MOD have LOL
Got indicators working (Fast with one Normal Bulb in as LED) ordered LED adjustable Relay...Hazards do nothing but again think this will be fixed with relay.
Side lights front and back fine as are Brake lights, but main lights only come on when I flash (Pull ind stalk) but look like its main beam not FULL beam...
Light switch behind wiper stalk seems to have no effect....tried MOD Light switch in every possition...no reverse lights...not even got to fog lights yet...

My issue is, with out knowning how the darn things work I'm ****ing in the wind...like reverse lights....is it the switch....wiring...who knows...
HELP!!!

Thanks

Oh and sorted lights...replaces all stalks and all light bar reverse worked....there was no rev light switch....bought one and wired up myself and now all working...inc rear fogs...
Now the Interior work starts.....

Not one, not two but three cans of Isolator paint, 2 cans Primer, 2 cans standard Gloss Black and one can of "Boots Blue" standard Rover colour!
Still had a couple of spots on the back door react after 3 atempts....god only knows what it had on it in the past....paint and filler and glue...who knows....two reflectors cover it!!!
The gloss on the back is dull (think its was two cold when done) so will be redoing the black...other than that its good enough for me....
Got to re-trim inside....sat nav/radio, door switches to interior lights, central locking and alarm....not sure it will ever "be done" but should be done then...
I did get another 4 reverse light lenses, originaly only bought enough to change them all to clear but the old ones looked yellow stained at side of new so ALL new now!
All LED Bulbs throughout inc dash and the new as yet not fitted "strip" lights for inside.
Front Mud flaps to fit....keep finding stuff I bought in the rear LOL
Induction Kit....front Bumper DRLs (Round LED flat Trailer lights x 4 o_O )
All Celli paint!

Rear Cam location (Red Arrow)
Re done back cross member and you can see the rear is dull....mostly...shame....but hope if I go over it again it'll be good...also less light in garage at rear so harder to paint rear.... not sure what I'll do over the smaller rear windows...did not look as bad when in garage....looks a right royal mess outside....maybe two strips of checker as LOADS left....

Happy new year all....Back to the Defender tomorrow.....hope I can get back "into it" after the break......then its out on the road!!
TIPS:-
Bought this off febay...to put over the warning lights at base of Dash...although back is black on the photo they are white symbles on clear backing....

Also these are ACE for the price I think DRLs???....fitted 4 in the Bumpers and only require 4 holes for the bolt and 4 smallers holes for wires and sit flush....they have 2 brightness settings (Earth then two wires, one is brighter then other) I got the brightest on and they maybe too bright!! I'll only know when out and about....but look amazing....come in red, yellow and white too....

UPDATE:-
She is now fully road legal but not quite finished...
Alarm installed and imobilizer Toad jobby...with working Centrol Locking (Door cards need to be re-done or tidied as made do with the previous owners for now)
Just a bit more tidying of wires...trim needs doing back and around the new rear Windows. Seats and new seat belts...
Oh, I fitted the new FRONT speakers for the new Nav Unit (still to fit but ready to go) in the side of the centre console....quite happy with it as everywhere else just looked very hard...i.e. under the dash left right...
also thought of mounting in front of the seats (Behind your legs) in thin boxes...but they would have got kicked for sure...so the arm rest was a good and easy choice I think.
Will have to box off inside but that wont be hard...
Can't wait to get out in it and drive it.....get a feel for it too....

OK She's on the road....must say for a 31 year old she drives very well....but its raised other issue which I'll post in the help section.

I'll put some more pics up here tho once weathers better....
